Applications for an Additional Exam Opportunity for Students in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Who Have Reached the Maximum Duration of Study

Pursuant to Article 44(c) of Law No. 2547 on Higher Education, final-year students who have not completed their four-year undergraduate programs within the maximum duration (7 years) and have not graduated are granted two additional exam opportunities for all courses required to graduate from the program in which they were enrolled at the end of the maximum duration.

The end-of-maximum-duration exam right cannot be transferred, postponed, or replaced with a make-up exam under any circumstances. Students who do not take these exams are considered to have used their end-of-maximum-duration exam rights once their maximum duration has expired, regardless of whether they submitted an application or not.

Application and Exam Dates:

Applications must be submitted in person to the Faculty Secretary’s Office by the end of business hours between July 23, 2026, and July 31, 2026, along with the application form.
Exams will be held in person between August 24 and 28, 2026; the exam schedule will be announced separately.

Students who have completed the maximum study period (7 years) and have fulfilled the course requirements for graduation may apply.
For students who have placed their enrollment on hold, the periods of leave are deducted from the maximum study period when calculating the total duration.

The time spent in the preparatory class is deducted from the maximum study period when calculating the total duration.

Regarding the Right to Take Exams at the End of the Maximum Study Period:

If a student has 6 or more courses remaining to graduate, they are granted two (2) additional exam attempts. If the number of required courses drops to 5 after the exam, the student is granted three semesters. If the number of required courses remains at 6 or more, the student’s enrollment is terminated.
If the number of courses a student needs to graduate is between 2 and 5, the student is granted four semesters of additional time. If the number of required courses does not drop to 1 by the end of this period, the student’s enrollment is terminated.
If the number of courses a student needs to graduate is 1, the student is granted unlimited exam attempts. This right is forfeited—and the student’s enrollment is terminated—if the student fails to take the exam three times, whether intermittently or consecutively.
Students are directly responsible for monitoring all these processes.
To pass the make-up exam, students must score at least 60 out of 100. The grade received on the exam replaces the course’s final grade.
