History
The Department of Audiology, affiliated with the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Medipol University, began its educational activities with its first students in the 2014–2015 academic year at the North Campus of the Kavacık Campus. The education and training process continued there during the 2014–2015 and 2015–2016 academic years and was moved to the South Campus of the Kavacık Campus in the 2016–2017 academic year. Our department graduated its first students at the end of the 2017–2018 academic year.
The Master’s program was launched and admitted its first students in the fall semester of the 2017–2018 academic year, while the PhD program was launched and admitted its first students in the fall semester of the 2020–2021 academic year.
Our academic staff consists of 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 3 assistant professors, 1 lecturer, and 2 research assistants.
To help students develop their clinical skills and conduct scientific studies, our department has hearing and balance laboratories at the South Campus. In addition, our students have the opportunity to undertake practical training in the Audiology Units of our University’s Mega Hospital, Çamlıca Hospital, and Koşuyolu Hospital.
