Examination Rules
Rules to Be Observed by Students During Examinations
a) Students must be present in the examination room before the examination begins. The admission of students arriving after the commencement of the examination shall be at the discretion of the instructor.
b) Throughout the examination, students are required to comply with the instructions and warnings issued by the instructor or examination invigilator regarding the maintenance of examination order. Any conduct to the contrary may be subject to disciplinary proceedings.
c) Students may bring their student identification cards and examination materials, such as pens and erasers, as well as any resources expressly permitted by the instructor. Any items other than those listed above—including mobile phones, course notes, textbooks, and similar materials—must be placed in a location inaccessible to students during the examination. Examination invigilators may take mobile phones, course notes, textbooks, and other items or materials into custody for the purpose of maintaining examination order. Students found using or engaging with communication devices, such as mobile phones or tablet computers, during the examination shall be treated as having committed academic misconduct.
d) Students may not leave the examination room without submitting their examination papers, except for compelling reasons. A student who is required to leave the examination room for a compelling reason must inform the examination invigilator and may leave only when accompanied by the invigilator. A written report shall be prepared concerning any student who fails to comply with this procedure.
e) When submitting examination documents, students must ensure that their identification details and signatures are included on the relevant documents.
f) At the end of the examination period, all examination documents must be submitted in full to the examination invigilators. A written report shall be prepared concerning students who fail to submit their examination documents.
g) Students who have submitted their examination documents and left the examination room may not re-enter the room. A written report shall be prepared concerning students who violate this rule.
h) In multiple-choice examinations, students may leave the examination room only after it has been verified that all answer sheets have been submitted.
i) Students may take an examination only in the examination room announced through MEBİS.
