Speech and Language Therapy

The PhD Program in Speech and Language Therapy focuses on specialization in sub-fields such as voice, swallowing, speech, and language disorders across both pediatric and adult populations. The program aims to address the shortage in the field of speech and language therapy in our country by training expert clinicians, qualified researchers, and prospective academics.

A Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy is a prerequisite for admission to the doctoral program. Throughout this four-year program, the primary objective is to enable students to independently plan, conduct, and conclude research in accordance with scientific and ethical principles. Furthermore, doctoral students are expected to contribute to the delivery of undergraduate courses by collaborating with the relevant faculty members.

Clinical practice and research requirements of the program will be facilitated through university-affiliated hospitals, multidisciplinary research units, and the newly established "MEDKOM – Medipol University Speech and Language Therapy Centre."
