Radiotherapy

A Radiotherapy Technician (also known as a Radiation Therapist) is a paramedical professional who assists radiation oncologists by performing radiation therapy and simulation procedures. Their responsibilities include the calibration and operational control of machinery and equipment, the fabrication of patient immobilization devices such as masks and molds, and the preparation of lead blocks for shielding.
Radiotherapy Technicians operate as an integral part of a clinical team, collaborating closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to execute both the preparatory phases and the delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments.
