Interior Design should not be confused with decoration, which refers to arranging spaces according to personal tastes and preferences. Instead, interior design is a comprehensive design process in which every detail must be planned and calculated from a technical perspective.

Accordingly, graduates of the Interior Design Program are well-equipped professionals who, in addition to effectively managing the artistic and technological aspects of the interior design process, receive extensive training in technical subjects such as the design of plumbing, electrical, and related building systems; the selection of appropriate materials and compatible construction methods; and the integration of interior spaces with the surrounding exterior environment.

In today's highly competitive market, where quality standards are continuously increasing and consumer needs are constantly evolving, the primary objective of the Interior Design Program is to educate qualified professionals with the vocational competencies required in the field of interior design. The program aims to address the significant demand for skilled designers in businesses and design offices by providing graduates with the knowledge and practical expertise necessary for the profession.

As a result, graduates can pursue careers without significant employment difficulties in a variety of sectors. They may work as project staff in interior architecture offices, designers in the design departments of furniture manufacturing companies, project personnel in restoration firms, drafting technicians or designers in architecture and engineering offices, or technical specialists in model-making studios.

Furthermore, graduates who successfully pass the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) are eligible to continue their education by transferring to bachelor's degree programs offered by universities in fields such as Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Arts and Crafts Design and Production, and Traditional Turkish Arts.
