Child Development Specialists play a vital role in building a modern and well-informed society composed of healthy and successful individuals. Their responsibilities include assessing children's developmental progress, supporting their development in all domains, providing guidance to families and educators, making recommendations for the design of appropriate educational programs, and raising public awareness regarding child development.

In this context, the objective of the Master's Program with Thesis in Child Development, established by the Department of Child Development, is to educate specialists who will serve in the health, education, and social service sectors. The program aims to prepare professionals capable of assessing and evaluating the development of children and adolescents aged 0–18 years, including those with typical development, special needs, acute or chronic illnesses, those in need of protection, and those at developmental risk. Graduates will be qualified to provide family counseling, develop and implement developmental support programs, participate in research and applied projects, utilize contemporary scientific methods and technological tools, adopt an eclectic professional approach, and practice in accordance with ethical principles.
