Study Abroad Preparatory Program
Students of the Istanbul Medipol University English Preparatory Program can complete second semester at one of three universities in the United States or in various European countries.
Who Can Participate?
All students actively enrolled in our preparatory program can benefit from this program.
Participation and Validity Conditions
- Semester and Time Requirement: The study abroad preparatory completion program is valid for the 2nd semester only. Under all circumstances, students are required to study their 1st semester at Istanbul Medipol University.
- Summer School Restriction: Applications for study abroad preparatory education are not accepted during the summer school period. Study abroad programs can only be attended during the 2nd semester dates specified in our university's academic calendar.
- Invalidity of Independent Programs: In order for students to complete their preparatory education abroad, the process must be carried out exclusively through our university's partner institutions (via Medipol). Programs that students enroll in independently on their own, and any language certificates obtained from such programs, are strictly not accepted for preparatory exemption or completion.
- Duration Requirement: A minimum of 7 weeks must be spent at the respective university abroad.
- Placement Test: To determine their English proficiency level, students might take the placement test of the university they plan to attend. For certain universities, this test can be taken online while in Turkiye.
- Application Period: Applications must be submitted 30 to 90 days prior to the program's start date.
- Passport Requirement: Students must have a valid passport with a remaining validity of at least 2 years.
Fees and Financial Conditions
- Medipol Tuition Fee: Students participating in the program must continue to pay their tuition fee to Istanbul Medipol University. Because part or all of the education is being completed abroad, there will be no discount, deduction, or tuition refund regarding our university's preparatory education fee.
- Study Abroad and Living Expenses: The program/tuition fees of the respective host university, application fees, visa expenses, accommodation, health insurance, and personal living expenses are entirely the student's responsibility. Please refer to the specific university's links for current program and fee details.

- Career Opportunities: Studying at globally recognized and prestigious universities lays the groundwork for students to expand their international career prospects.
