Prof. Bahar Güntekin, a Faculty Member of the School of Medicine, has been entitled to receive support within the scope of the 2247-A National Outstanding Researchers Program carried out by the Science Fellowships and Grant Programme Directorate (BİDEB).
The application results of the 2247-A National Outstanding Researchers Program 2023, carried out by the Science Fellowships and Grant Programme Directorate (BİDEB) of TÜBİTAK, have been announced. Within the scope of the program, Prof. Bahar Güntekin, a Faculty Member of Istanbul Medipol University School of Medicine, was among the 44 lead researchers who were entitled to receive support. Prof. Bahar Güntekin, who is also an Associate Member of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), expressed her pleasure to be among the leading researchers and said: “The support we receive is very motivating for both my team and me. It is very pleasing to see that the number of support this year, especially in the National Outstanding Researchers Program, has increased compared to previous years. Just as it is important to support researchers who return to our country through reverse brain drain, it is also important to support scientists who stay in their country and continue their scientific studies. We would like to thank the heads and officials of TÜBİTAK and BİDEB, as well as all our government officials who provided this support. Together, we will continue to produce, work, and raise qualified students.”
