President Ceran, who made statements to Anadolu Agency Reporter Fatmanur Duman regarding the voting results, said that Anadolu Agency is one of the most important and deep-rooted institutions of our country. Noting that Anadolu Agency, with its history of over 100 years, is the pride of our country in terms of receiving news, President Ceran said: “The photographs taken by Anadolu Agency, which is a deep-rooted institution and an important stakeholder of Istanbul Medipol University, both create awareness in citizens and provide an important source for social memory. The ‘Free Syria’ category, which was opened specifically for 2024, is very valuable in terms of showing the world what the Assad regime had done. All the photographs submitted to the vote are powerful images that have been created as a result of great effort. The photographs showing us the human tragedy in Gaza are of great importance. In this sense, I appreciate Anadolu Agency for reporting the events in an impartial manner and keeping them on the agenda. The photographs taken so that the world can see these facts will be unforgettable for me. I would like to thank the Anadolu Agency management and staff who contributed to the shooting and presentation of the photographs.”
