“Gel Gör Beni Aşk Neyledi” brought art enthusiasts together

The Turkish Sufi Music concert titled “Gel Gör Beni Aşk Neyledi”, prepared under the artistic direction of the Head of the Department of Turkish Music Prof. Volkan Gidiş, met with the audience. In the concert where important works of Sufi Music were performed, Dr. Nuri Özcan took the stage as the soloist; Prof. Dr. Volkan Gidiş took the stage on the kanun, Prof. Dr. Yaşar Şenler on the rebab, and Lecturer Mert Nar on the rhythm. Prof. Volkan Gidiş, who made the opening speech of the concert held at the South Campus Conference Hall, emphasized that it was very meaningful for them to organize the event while bidding farewell to the month of Ramadan. Prof. Gidiş said: “I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Prof. Yaşar Şenler, who requested the realization of this event, and to Nuri Özcan and Mert Nar, who honored us with their participation, with the hope that we can feel the motto of Âşık Yunus within us and adapt it to our lives. I hope we will come together in many more events full of art.”
