A talk titled “Financial Technologies of Art” was held at Medipol META Talks organized by Istanbul Medipol University Technology Transfer Office. Technology enthusiasts showed great interest in Goldframer Co-Founder and CEO Melih Turan’s talk. Noting that investment practices in traditional arts have been realized for the first time, Turan said: “We offer investment opportunities to individuals over the global price of the artwork. We work directly with artists and collaborate with art consultants.” Referring to the importance of entrepreneurship and communication marketing, Turan added: “The most well-known work of art in Türkiye is ‘The Tortoise Trainer’ and in the world it is the ‘Mona Lisa’. The reason for the priceless value of these artworks stems from effective marketing and communication strategies. In fact, from the perspective of entrepreneurship, art is a confined field. Auctioneers are in the ecosystem, but entrepreneurs are not. In this context, our company, whose story began last year, is at a valuable point in transforming art financing into a business model and growing it.”
