A collaboration protocol was signed between Istanbul Medipol University and Anadolu Agency. The protocol, signed in the North Campus Senate Room, was signed by President Prof. Ömer Ceran on behalf of Istanbul Medipol University, and by AA General Manager and Chair of the Board Serdar Karagöz on behalf of Anadolu Agency. The protocol aims to carry out projects based on effectiveness and efficiency in line with the needs and dynamism of the sector. It also aims to further strengthen media and communication education at the university, to train the required qualified workforce, to support the employment of Istanbul Medipol University graduates and to increase the competitiveness of the sector.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Istanbul Medipol University President Prof. Ömer Ceran said that collaborating with Anadolu Agency adds a special value to the university. Noting that they always want the collaborations to progress in the form of mutual exchange of information, President Ceran said: “This is the age of information and communication. The role and effectiveness of communication is increasing every day in Türkiye and the world. It is commendable that our School of Communication is in such collaboration with Anadolu Agency. Thanks to the protocol, Anadolu Agency personnel will be able to benefit from graduate education opportunities at Istanbul Medipol University. I hope that the protocol will be beneficial for both parties.”
KARAGÖZ: WE WANT THE BEST AND MOST COMPETITIVE STUDENTS OF THE SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION
AA General Manager and Chair of the Board Serdar Karagöz said that even though they have strong traditions dating back to the past, they also always look to the future. Karagöz added: “We are trying to build the future with the power we get from the past. We have set ourselves the goal of being the most competitive media technology company in the world in the field of communications. Not just a news agency, Anadolu Agency has taken its place in international competition as a media technology company in line with the requirements of the changing and developing world. We want the best and most competitive students of Istanbul Medipol University School of Communication. We also want to ensure that students are aware of the needs of the sector during their education process.”
CERAN AND KARAGÖZ PRESENTED GIFTS TO EACH OTHER
At the ceremony, after the signing, President Ceran presented Karagöz with a gift. Karagöz, in turn, presented President Ceran with the books “Kanıt” and “Tanık” prepared by AA, which clearly reveal the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza. The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice-President of Istanbul Medipol University Prof. Recep Öztürk, the Dean of the School of Communication Prof. Ali Büyükaslan, the Vice-Deans of the School of Communication Assoc. Prof. Korhan Mavnacıoğlu and Assoc. Prof. İhsan Eken, AA Board Member Prof. Yusuf Özkır, the Deputy General Manager and Editor-in-Chief Yusuf Özhan, Academy and Publication Coordinator Yahya Bostan, Publications and Productions Coordinator Oğuz Karakaş, Istanbul News Director Muhammed Enes Can, and the School of Communication academicians and students.
