The career journey in a transforming business landscape discussed at MEC-TALKS
The “MEC-TALKS C-LEVEL’25” event, organized at Istanbul Medipol University, brought together senior executives from the business world with students. During the event, topics including career trajectories, leadership, digital transformation, sustainability, and adaptation to the evolving business environment were addressed through inspiring professional experiences.
Organized by the Istanbul Medipol University Management and Economics Club (MEC), the “MEC-TALKS C-LEVEL’25” event convened high-level executives from diverse sectors with students. Held at the South Campus Conference Hall, the event was attended by PwC Türkiye Company Partner Feride İkiz, BYD Türkiye General Manager İsmail Ergün, Türkiye Sigorta Training and Development Manager Neslihan Yüce Aslaner, GUMA Collection Co-Founder Yavuz Selim Bayraktar, and Microsoft Türkiye CSA Manager Barboras Günay, along with a large number of students.
The participants shared examples from their respective career journeys, outlining their leadership philosophies, the critical turning points they encountered, and the transformation processes experienced across different sectors. Prominent themes of the event included values-driven management, adaptability to change, digital transformation, sustainability, and human-centered leadership. Students were reminded that there is no single correct path in career planning, and it was emphasized that curiosity, openness to continuous learning, and the courage to embrace diverse experiences play a decisive role in professional life.
