Business professionals met with Medipol students
Organized by Istanbul Medipol University Management and Economics Club (MEC), “MECTALKS C-LEVEL” brought together the business world and Medipol students.

Istanbul Medipol University Management and Economics Club (MEC) organized an event titled “MECTALKS C-LEVEL” to support students’ career development. The event, held at the South Campus Conference Hall, brought together experienced names from various sectors. Among the participants were PIN Drinks CEO Emre Sever, Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products Human Resources Manager Sinem Kırata, Pladis Türkiye Human Resources Director Kenan Kayhan, Pladis Türkiye Talent Management and Organizational Development Manager Melis Özçaldıran Cücüloğlu, and Turkish Airlines Human Resources Vice-President İbrahim Hünkâr Han Çelikhatiboğlu. At the event, speakers shared their experiences in the business world with students and provided valuable advice on the steps they should take in their career journeys.
SEVER: DON’T LET YOUR EDUCATION LIMIT YOU
The PIN Drinks CEO Emre Sever shared the story of their company that started from scratch and achieved great success in the beverage sector. Referring to the difficulty of competing with big brands in the sector, Sever stated that they decided to sell through e-commerce with the motto of “Doing what has not been done in Türkiye” and that they sold products in many cities in a short time. Sever, who gave important advice to students about their careers, emphasized the importance of taking risks and being innovative by saying: “Don’t let your education limit you, wander around the edges. Don’t let anything limit you, and don’t be afraid to take risks.”
KIRATA: FOLLOW YOUR VALUES
In her speech, Eczacıbaşı Consumer Products Human Resources Manager Sinem Kırata shared the corporate structure of Eczacıbaşı and her own career journey. Stating that she has built a successful career by working in a single company for many years, Kırata said: “First of all, follow your values. When you work in an environment in line with your values, you do your job with passion, and you can stay there for many years.”
