“META SYSTEM Artificial Intelligence Supported Chromosome and FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) Imaging Systems”, which is considered a groundbreaking technology in genetic analysis, started to be used within MEDIGEN.

Launched in 2016, Istanbul Medipol University Genetic Diseases Evaluation Center (MEDIGEN), one of Türkiye’s leading centers in the field of genetic diagnosis, has advanced its service capacity with a groundbreaking new technology. Continuing its activities at Istanbul Medipol University North Campus in Kavacık, MEDIGEN will enable genetic analysis processes to be carried out much faster with META SYSTEM Artificial Intelligence Supported Chromosome and FISH (Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization) Imaging Systems. Thanks to this system, analysis time in the diagnosis of genetic diseases is significantly shortened and test quality is increased.
META SYSTEM ONLY AT MEDİGEN IN ISTANBUL
MEDIGEN, which has rapidly increased its testing capacity and diversity since its establishment, will be able to analyze metaphases obtained from various samples, such as peripheral blood, bone marrow, amniotic fluid, abortion material, chorionic villus material, and cord blood with the support of artificial intelligence with the new system. Available only at MEDIGEN in Istanbul, META SYSTEM offers 10 times faster, more comfortable, and higher quality screening compared to its counterparts in the market. Bringing groundbreaking innovations to genetic analysis processes, the system offers the privilege of reliably classifying and detecting abnormal chromosome structures with the support of artificial intelligence.
SIMULTANEOUS SCAN AND ANALYSIS
The system, which further strengthens MEDIGEN’s service capacity, serves more than 100 institutions for genetic tests that cannot be performed in Türkiye and can obtain images with a 20x objective for the first time in the world. The system also includes features, such as the ability to analyze a region with a high cell count in FISH scans in as little as a minute, to perform chromosome and FISH scanning simultaneously, to perform FISH scanning in a bright environment and without using immersion oil, and to provide scanning and analysis at the same time.
