TÖMER Held Its Commission Meetings

Istanbul Medipol University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) held its periodic commission meetings as part of the preparations for the new academic year.

Within this scope, the Medical Turkish Commission and the Academic Planning and Education Commission came together to evaluate the teaching and learning processes for the upcoming term. The meetings focused on teaching methods and techniques, course delivery, student needs, and assessment and evaluation processes.

At the meeting of the Academic Planning and Education Commission, emphasis was placed on improving teaching and learning processes in line with students’ needs, expectations, and feedback. Discussions focused on strengthening student-centered teaching practices, updating course content according to current needs, and enhancing the alignment between assessment and evaluation practices and learning outcomes.

At the meeting of the Medical Turkish Commission, teaching methods and techniques specific to the field of health sciences, as well as assessment and evaluation processes, were discussed. The Commission considered further developing case-based activities, professional communication tasks, and practices supporting the functional use of medical terminology, while also updating assessment processes to evaluate students’ professional language skills more comprehensively.

Through its regularly held commission meetings, Medipol TÖMER continues to review its teaching and learning processes in line with student needs and feedback and to carry out its academic preparations for the new term.
