About the Department

Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that examines, diagnoses, treats, and prevents dental malocclusions, jaw discrepancies, and facial irregularities. The scope of orthodontics includes developmental jaw disorders, irregularities in tooth eruption, narrow dental arches, and dysfunctions in breathing, chewing, swallowing, and speaking. By resolving these issues, individuals achieve a healthier and more functional masticatory system, alongside an improved facial appearance and an impressive smile. As long as the teeth are healthy, orthodontic treatment can be effectively applied to both pediatric and adult patients.
