Orthotics and Prosthetics Training: Advances in Neuromobility - 1

On November 7, 2024, the Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Istanbul Medipol University held an event in room 2B04 on the South Campus, attended by department students as well as academic and administrative staff. The program began with Hüseyin Laçin’s presentation on “Foot Drop Orthoses,” covering types of foot drop orthoses, materials, manufacturing techniques, patient assessment and orthosis selection, practical examples, and patient videos. Reyhan Tuygun then presented “EXOPULSE MOLLII SUIT,” addressing levels of evidence for functional electrical stimulation (FES) and case examples. The event concluded with Sevil Pelit’s presentation on “Types of Long-Leg Orthoses” and Taylan Güngör’s presentation on “Wheelchairs.”
