TÖMER and the Faculty of Education Hold a Meeting on Educational Collaboration

Istanbul Medipol University’s Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) and Faculty of Education held a meeting to discuss collaboration aimed at supporting the professional development of teaching staff and strengthening international students’ Turkish language skills.

The meeting was attended by TÖMER Director Assist. Prof. Yasemin Çiçekçisoy Kaya and Lecturer Esma Nur Batur Doğanalp, alongside Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Servet Bayram, a department chair, and faculty members.

Participants discussed plans for in-service training for TÖMER teaching staff in educational psychology, instructional technologies, curriculum development, and assessment and evaluation. They explored how training supported by the Faculty of Education’s academic expertise could enhance Turkish language teaching practices and strengthen staff members’ professional competencies.

The meeting also addressed plans for Turkish language courses for international students enrolled in the Faculty of Education, with the aim of supporting their classroom participation and academic studies. Participants exchanged views on potential programs tailored to students’ language proficiency levels and educational needs.
