Audiometry

The objective of the program is to train healthcare professionals who possess the scientific knowledge and technical proficiency to diagnose hearing loss and equilibrium disorders. These professionals are qualified to administer auditory and vestibular tests to determine hearing levels and ensure optimal auditory quality. Furthermore, they assist patients in the selection and utilization of hearing aids prescribed by Otorhinolaryngologists (ENT specialists).
Graduates may operate within the audiology clinics of public or private hospitals under the supervision and guidance of an audiologist or an ENT specialist. Their scope of practice includes performing neonatal hearing screenings in maternity wards and conducting auditory screenings in educational institutions. Additionally, given the increasing demand for Audiometry Technicians, employment opportunities are available in private diagnostic centers and with distributors of hearing aids and cochlear implants.
