“Transcending Boundaries in Higher Education” Forum Held at Medipol A forum hosted by our University focused on the opportunities for internationalization in higher education and the challenges faced by international students. 🎓

📍 The opening speeches of the forum, held at the North Campus, were delivered by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yüksel Durmaz; our Secretary General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semih Korkut; and Prof. Dr. Bekir Berat Özipek, Director of the Medipol Mediterranean Research Center and Ombudsman Manager. During the forum, representatives from: 🔹 the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, 🔹 the Ombudsman Institution of Türkiye (KDK), 🔹 the Federation of International Student Associations (UDEF), 🔹 the Green Crescent (Yeşilay), and 🔹 various civil society organizations came together with academics to share their solution-oriented perspectives. 🧩 Topics such as accommodation, visa procedures, social security, and social integration were discussed in two separate sessions.
