An Electroneurophysiology Technician is a healthcare professional who assists specialist physicians in the application of electroneurophysiological methods and operates under medical supervision.
The methods in question include Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), and Polysomnography (PSG). The technician’s primary responsibilities involve conducting EEG recordings and performing basic nerve conduction studies (EMG). Furthermore, the Electroneurophysiology Technician analyzes brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAEP) and visual evoked potentials (VEP), maintains comprehensive patient records, and operates polysomnography equipment for sleep studies.
