Meetings and Workshops Conducted with Our Internal and External Stakeholders

Istanbul Medipol University organized a seminar on CV preparation and interview techniques for Audiology students. Held on February 22, the event provided students with practical examples of key points to consider in job applications and strategies for success during the interview process. Attending students gained valuable insights to make a solid start to their careers.

During the seminar, detailed information was shared regarding essential considerations in CV preparation, effective resume design, and elements that attract employers' attention. Additionally, methods for succeeding in interviews and preparing for frequently asked questions were demonstrated through examples. Students received practical tips on expressing themselves effectively, highlighting their experience on their CVs, and communicating with employers. Conducted with the guidance of Specialist Audiologist Bilal Kaya from Siser Hearing Aids, the seminar proceeded in an interactive environment with active student participation.

During the Istanbul Medipol University Audiology Career Days, Audiologist Dilruba Demirel, Audiologist Selen Irmak Susam, and Audiologist Nisanur Kuyucu accompanied us with 3D ear molds, VNG, and V-HIT headsets.

In addition to theoretical training on three distinct topics, we also had the opportunity to engage in practical applications. We extend our sincere gratitude to all participating students and the Duyumed Company.

The Departments of Audiology and Audiometry at Istanbul Medipol University conducted hearing screenings from March 4 to 7 in the hearing laboratories located on Floor B4 of the South Campus and Block C of the North Campus to assess hearing health. Open to students, staff, and the general public, this event raised awareness about hearing health and highlighted its importance. Held annually, this event offers a significant opportunity to evaluate participants' hearing levels and take necessary precautions.

On December 1, 2023, our seminar titled "World Persons with Disabilities Day from the Perspective of Hearing Impairment" was successfully held at Istanbul Medipol University with esteemed speakers. Beginning with the opening address by Prof. M. Bülent Şerbetçioğlu, MD, PhD, the event continued with Audiologist İlayda Kurt's presentation titled "Education in the Hearing Impaired and Children's Education Association." Lecturer Seher Yılmaz shared her experiences on "The Audiologist's Journey with the Hearing-Impaired Child." Pelin Atik's presentation, "My Hearing Loss Process from Beginning to End," offered the audience valuable perspectives on individuals with hearing loss. Finally, Esra Küçükkaya shared the experiences of a hearing-impaired family, emphasizing the importance of awareness and intervention in hearing disability. Questions, interactions, and insights shared throughout the seminar underscored once again the significance of this topic. Organized by the Department of Audiology at Istanbul Medipol University on November 11, 2023, the Tinnitus Symposium was successfully completed, offering participants a broad perspective on tinnitus. Hosting distinguished speakers and experts, the event shed light on numerous topics, including the definition, history, mechanisms of occurrence, evaluation, and treatment of tinnitus.

Hosted by Istanbul Medipol University, the 4th Oto-Audiology Congress was successfully completed over two days with distinguished speakers and educational courses. Presenting speakers shared the latest developments in the fields of hearing, balance, and neuroscience.
