Nutrition and Dietetics Department Internal and External Stakeholder Meeting Held
Within the scope of our quality and accreditation processes, a productive evaluation meeting was held on July 16, 2026, with the participation of our department's internal and external stakeholders.
• Curriculum and Professional Practice Updates: Information was provided about the changes made to the department curriculum and professional practice processes within the framework of accreditation processes. The updated versions of the changes made in the professional practice directive, practice logbooks, and evaluation forms in line with stakeholder opinions were presented.
• Measurement and Evaluation, Program Educational Objectives, and Program Outcomes: The measurement and evaluation system (ASOS) used in our department was introduced. Information was provided about the Program Educational Objectives (PEO) and Program Outcomes (PO), which were updated by taking stakeholder suggestions into consideration. As a result of this meeting and the positive feedback received, the activities carried out specifically regarding PO4 were summarized, and the process was concluded by taking stakeholder satisfaction into account.
• Alumni Tracking and Student Satisfaction: The alumni tracking systems within the university, Alumni-Student meetings, revised alumni surveys, and data collection tools used in the students' satisfaction and feedback processes were evaluated.
• Physical and IT Infrastructure: The educational areas provided by our department, IT infrastructure, and the educational processes of the professional nutrition information systems software used in the courses were discussed, and feedback was received from external stakeholders regarding the developments in the software interface of these systems and student education planning.
• Professional Development and Event Planning: Our external stakeholders expressed their satisfaction with the improvements made in the curriculum and practices and the professional development of the students. In addition, a consensus was reached on planning informative events about the professional law for students and alumni, as well as meetings that field representatives will attend.
Our department continues its continuous improvement efforts with the contributions of our internal and external stakeholders to the processes. We thank all our stakeholders who contributed.
