Prof. Ökten met with students of the School of Law

The first session of the series titled “Talks on a Different Understanding of Law” organized by Istanbul Medipol University School of Law has been completed. In the first session of the series, which will be held in three sessions, the Vice-President of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Prof. Kaan Harun Ökten came together with students of the School of Law. In the program moderated by Prof. Ahmet Ulvi Türkbağ, a Faculty Member of the School of Law, Prof. Ökten talked about the relationship between law and philosophy and said that his main field of study is the philosophy of being. Noting that questioning right and wrong is important in terms of philosophy and law, Ökten said: “I study existence and death from the perspective of the ontology. When this age looks at itself, it does not realize that it is looking at itself. When it looks at itself, being itself is not what it understands, we have lost that. To revive this, we need to return to ourselves.”
