Visit from Istanbul Medipol University TÖMER to the UGDG Association

A visit was paid to Faik Tanrıkulu, President of the International Youth and Values Development Association (UGDG), by Yasemin Çiçekçisoy Kaya, Director of Istanbul Medipol University Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (Medipol TÖMER), and Lecturer Esma Nur Batur Doğanalp.
Within the scope of the visit, language teaching models abroad and the language teaching models implemented in Türkiye were discussed from a comparative perspective. Through different examples of practice, quality in language teaching, accessibility, learner needs, and opportunities for institutional collaboration were evaluated.
During the meeting, the importance of project collaborations that integrate language teaching with technology was also emphasized. It was stated that the digital knowledge and competencies of the younger generation within the UGDG Association represent significant potential for Medipol TÖMER’s language teaching strategies.
The visit also included an exchange of views on possible studies that may strengthen Medipol TÖMER’s innovative, interactive, and technology-supported approach to language teaching, as well as on developing inter-institutional cooperation.
