Points to Consider for the Written Section
*The first session of the exam includes a 75-minute Writing section that follows the Main Part. A 5-minute period has been allocated between the Main Part and Writing for collecting exam papers and distributing writing papers. This period is not a break for students. Students may not leave the classroom, and mobile phones will not be returned to them.
*Students must be present in their assigned classrooms at least 30 minutes before the exam start time.
*Students must bring a valid photo ID card or passport.
*Students must bring their own pencils and erasers. Sharing pencils or erasers during the exam is prohibited.
*OPTICAL ANSWER SHEETS MUST BE COMPLETED USING A PENCIL ONLY. ANSWER SHEETS COMPLETED WITH ANY OTHER WRITING INSTRUMENT WILL NOT BE EVALUATED.
*Smartphones and smartwatches must be switched to airplane mode, turned off, and handed over to the exam invigilator at the beginning of the exam. Students who do not surrender their phones or smartwatches will have their exam invalidated.
*Only the answers marked on the optical answer sheet will be evaluated. Students will not receive points for answers marked only in the booklet or not transferred to the optical answer sheet.
*Correct completion of the optical answer sheet is the student’s responsibility. Failure to mark the booklet type or incorrectly completing the optical answer sheet will result in a score of “0”.
*Students arriving after the Listening section has begun will not be admitted until the relevant listening passage has finished. Questions from the missed listening section may not be marked on the answer sheet.
*Students may not leave the exam during the first 40 minutes after it begins. Students who finish the exam are not allowed to wait in the corridor.
*Use of the restroom during the exam is not permitted.
