Faculty of Health Sciences Examination Entitlement for Students Who Have Reached the Maximum Period of Study
Pursuant to Article 44(c) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, final-year students who have reached the maximum period of study (7 years) are granted two additional examinations for all courses they have failed in order to graduate from the program in which they are enrolled.
Eligibility Requirements for the Additional Examinations at the End of the Maximum Period of Study:
- Having advanced to the final year and completed all courses required for graduation,
- Having no course failed due to non-attendance,
Having become eligible for the additional examination right upon reaching the maximum period of study (7 years), taking into account the maximum duration of the program.
Following the Additional Examinations:
- Students who reduce the number of failed courses to five will be granted three semesters to complete those five courses.
- Students who have up to five failed courses without taking the additional examinations will be granted four semesters.
- Students who have only one failed course remaining after the additional examinations will be granted the right to take the examination for that course an unlimited number of times. However, students granted this unlimited examination right may not benefit from student rights and privileges.
- Any student who fails to sit for the examinations offered for three consecutive or non-consecutive academic years shall be deemed to have waived the unlimited examination right and may no longer benefit from it.
Students who fail to reduce the number of failed courses to five after the additional examinations at the end of the maximum period of study will have their enrollment terminated.
Application Dates for the Additional Examinations:
Applications must be submitted in person to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Health Sciences (South Campus, 2nd Floor, Corridor D) between 7–12 July 2026.
The additional examinations will be held in person between 23–28 July 2026. The examination schedule will be announced separately.
