2026–2027 Academic Year English Preparatory Program Proficiency Examination Announcement and Classroom Lists

The 2026–2027 Academic Year English Preparatory Program Proficiency Examination will be held face-to-face on September 7, 2026, at 09:00 at Istanbul Medipol University Kavacık North and South Campuses.

Due to ongoing construction work at the North Campus, access to Block A must be through the Mosque Entrance (MescidKapısı) rather than the Main Entrance.

Students whose student ID numbers do not appear on the lists must apply to the Block A, AZ01 Office at the North Campus no later than 08:00 on the day of the examination, before the examination begins.

TURKISH CITIZENS WILL TAKE THE EXAMINATION AT THE SOUTH CAMPUS, WHILE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WILL TAKE THE EXAMINATION AT THE NORTH CAMPUS.

There will be no make-up examination.

The examination is intended for students whose departments require English Preparatory Program education. Students who do not wish to be exempted from the English Preparatory Program and who wish to attend the optional preparatory program do not need to take the examination. Students who do not take the examination will be enrolled in the English Preparatory Program.

No application is required to take this examination.

Important Information for Students

Students are required to:

Be present on campus at least one hour before the examination.

Know their student ID number. (Classroom assignments will not be determined by name.)Bring a valid ID card, driver's license, or passport. (Istanbulkart and other documents will not be accepted as valid identification.)

Bring a soft-lead pencil and an eraser.

Check their assigned examination room in advance at dilokulu.medipol.edu.tr.

Students will be allowed to enter the building at 08:00.

Students must be in their assigned classrooms by 08:30.

The examination will begin at 09:00 and end at 12:20.

Students will not be admitted to the examination building after 09:50.

Students will not be permitted to leave the classroom during the first 50 minutes of the examination.

Students who complete the examination must leave the building immediately.

Students are not permitted to bring or carry any electronic devices, including computers, mobile phones, smartwatches, headphones, or similar devices, during the examination. Such devices must be left with their accompanying persons.

Except for parents/guardians of students with special needs or disabilities, parents/guardians will not be permitted to enter the building.

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law, students' examination rooms have been announced using their student ID numbers. Since examination locations cannot be accessed by name, students must know the student ID number provided to them during registration.

Examination and Exemption Criteria

Students who receive a score of 75 or above on the written component of the examination will be exempt from the English Preparatory Program.

Students who receive a score between 60 and 74 on the written component will be eligible to take the Face-to-Face Speaking Examination on September 9, 2026.

The Speaking Examination will also be graded out of 100. Students who receive a score of 75 or above on the Speaking Examination will be exempt from the English Preparatory Program.

All Speaking Examinations will be conducted FACE-TO-FACE.

The Speaking Examination lists will be announced on the Istanbul Medipol University School of Languages website under the Announcements section on September 8, 2026.

Students who receive a score of 59 or below on the Proficiency Examination, as well as students who receive a score of 74 or below on the Speaking Examination, will attend the English Preparatory Program.

The final examination results will be published on mebis.medipol.edu.tr no earlier than September 9, 2026. Students are required to know their MEBİS login passwords.

Students whose information is not available in the system or whose registration has not been completed will not be admitted to the examination.

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), student numbers and full names cannot be shared openly. Therefore, the information in the list has been partially masked. 
Accordingly: 
When searching for your student number in the list, enter the first two and last two digits of your student number and place four asterisks (****) between them. Then verify the initials of your first and last names in the corresponding row. 
Example: 
For a student named Jane Doe with student number 45334389, search using 45****89. Then verify that your name appears in the corresponding row as “4589 – J* D**.”
