“NUTRITION IN LIFE”
Foreword
The acceptance of our student, Zeynep Kepoğlu, to the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians (EFAD) meeting for her photography not only brought us great joy but also provided the motivation for the idea of organizing this competition...

Throughout my nearly 40-year academic career at Hacettepe University’s Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, a photograph taken by the winner of a similar competition organized for our students has always stayed in my mind and has remained a meaningful piece decorating our corridor!..

As the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Istanbul Medipol University, the fact that this project coincided with the COVID-19 quarantine period increased its significance. Infinite thanks to our hardworking students, the members of the jury, our Research Assistant Hazal Dişlitaş, who meticulously followed the project from beginning to end, and the faculty members and staff of our department who provided their support...

The more than 40 works exhibited in this photography exhibition were taken by students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. They used their own mobile phones to capture what they saw and noticed with an amateur spirit. By exploring nutrition in its various aspects and adding their professional sensitivity, they reflected it with a unique perspective. These photographs offer us examples of our nutrition, which is an indispensable part of everyone's daily life...

We congratulate our winning students and believe that the exhibition will be watched with interest by everyone...

"Ekşi tatları sevmeyen Ege’nin Adana’daki Portakal Çiçeği Festivalinden etkilenmesiyle ekşi portakal yemeye çalışmasını görünce, ekşi portakalı yerken aldığı zevkin sadece fizyolojik değil psikolojik olduğunu gördüm, yüzünün doğal olarak aldığı ifadeyi yakalamak istedim..."
