Our Vision:
To be a nationally leading, internationally authoritative, and respected education and research department in the field of speech and language therapy science, contributing to health and education through a strong institutional culture, an entrepreneurial and research-oriented spirit, a dynamism open to continuous development, and quality awareness.
Our Mission:
To train future leader therapists who have acquired competencies specific to the speech and language therapy profession through high-quality education and research integrated with science and technology, focused on the goal of serving without discrimination on the basis of human rights to improve the quality of life of society, and who have achieved lasting advantages with lifelong learning, teaching, ethics, and quality awareness; and to contribute to society and universal science.
In order to realize this mission, our Department sub-objectives are;
To ensure the acquisition and application of knowledge, skills, and competencies specific to the speech and language therapy profession through a student-centered approach by providing our students, academic staff, and society with a high-standard environment for education, clinical practice, and research with a sense of lifelong learning and quality awareness (education and training dimension),
To conduct national and international research in interdisciplinary cooperation with our faculty members, undergraduate, and graduate students on the basis of entrepreneurship and continuous development in order to contribute to society, universal science, and the development of SLT science, and to disseminate and share the scientific knowledge obtained (research and development dimension),
To provide high-quality, evidence-based, person-centered services that take into account regional and national priorities by offering equal opportunities without discrimination to individuals with communication, language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders (community service dimension),
To contribute to meeting the needs of the country by working towards the employment of our graduates in health and education fields, and to help close the academic staff shortage in our country by encouraging postgraduate education (support for national development),
To manage the process of achieving our strategic goals in accordance with the quality assurance system within the framework of our vision, mission, and objectives (quality assurance system).
