Aim | The main aim of the course is to enable students to realize how semiological components, images, colours, discourses invaded our daily lives through media content; so enable them to be aware of how they manipulate people through mass media and digitality, social media,etc. |

The student can 1- understand and discuss the hidden or manipulative meanings in a media product, 2- realise the semiological process and count the components of the process 3- discuss the theories and theoreticians within the frame of advertising messages, photos in newspapers. 4- discuss the popular culture contents, symbols or signs used in serials or films. 5- understand the figurative language and colours, kinesics employed in a media content 6- know technological tricks which provide mass media with a large opportunity to cheat their consumers. |
