Prof. Dr. Ceran: Approximately 35 thousand students have been provided with distance education

Istanbul Medipol University Rector Representative Prof. Dr. Ömer Ceran explained the road map of distance education to Sabah. Noting that approximately 35 thousand students are provided with distance education services at Istanbul Medipol University, Prof. Ceran said digital platforms would continue to be a part of education with innovative applications after the pandemic. Stating that the educational community should improve themselves in online classroom management, Ceran said: “We were ready for distance education. For this reason, we have received mostly positive feedback from our students. Although we have faced some technical problems in the first phase of the pandemic, these were quickly resolved. Our priority is to provide unproblematic education for our students. In this regard, we made some improvements in our learning management system and digital learning applications according to the demands and suggestions of our students and academics. We prioritise implementing up-to-date methods, techniques, and approaches during distance education. We use blended (hybrid) education method, flipped-classroom model and distance education systems.”
