Dr. Baykaş, Dr. Yamaner and Dr. Kocatürk receive TUBITAK 1001 Grant

Dr. Baykaş, Dr. Yamaner and Dr. Kocatürk receive TUBITAK 1001 Grant Neuroprostheses aim to restore the motor functions lost due to disease or injury, by directly communicating with the brain tissue. The proposed project aims to develop new neural interfaces, decoding algorithms and wireless communication techniques to advance the motor neuroprosthetic technology. The system to be developed will be validated using in vivo rat experiments and expected to provide useful tools for studying motor learning and adaptation in the brain. Research will be conducted with the collaboration of Prof. Dr. Reşit Canbeyli from Psychology Department, and Prof. Dr. Halil Özcan Gülçür and Prof. Dr. Albert Güveniş from Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Boğaziçi University.
