Aim To provide the students with the knowledge and skills about diagnosis, treatment, dialysis applications and care steps of pediatric nephrological problems within the framework of differences in anatomy and physiology of genitourinary system in children.
Course ContentThis course contains; Kidney development and anatomy and diagnostic evaluations in kidney diseases,The effects of chronic diseases on children and family and coping,Hypertension and treatment in children,Glomerular diseases of kidney and treatment approaches in children,Renal tubulopathies in children and treatment approaches, Fluid electrolyte disorders and treatment approaches in children,Thrombotic renal angiopathies in children and treatment approaches,Enuresis and urinary dysfunction in children and treatment approaches,Urinary stone disease and nephrocalcinosis in children and treatment approaches,Urinary tract infections and structural renal abnormalities in children,Chronic kidney disease and follow-up in children,Renal replacement therapies in children (Hemodialysis),Renal replacement therapies in children (Peritoneal Dialysis),Renal replacement therapies in children (Organ Transplantation).
