AimThe aim of this course is to distinguish the pulp structure, evaluate the pulp disease and apply the fundamentals of root canal treatment. Properties of X rays, formation of medical radiation and biological effects of radiation on biological tissues, and implication of radiation dose measurement. To evaluate the basic chemical and physical properties, clinical and laboratory use of dental materials and to classify and compare dental materials.

The students will be able to apply the fundamentals of root canal treatment. 3.1. Realize fundamentals of access cavity, application of rubber-dam and root canal instruments. 3.2. Realize determination of root canal length, root canal instrumentation, irrigation and disinfection. 3.3. Realize root canal filling techniques. 16, 9
