AimThe aim of this course is to realize the treatment methods of deciduous and permanent teeth of children, identify the dental traumatic injuries and apply the appropriate treatment to special care needed children.
Course ContentThis course contains; Modern treatment methods in pediatric dentistry ,Temporo mandibular joint dysfunctions ,Local anesthesia applications and indications of the extractions of deciduous teeth in child patients ,Local anesthesia applications and indications of the extractions of deciduous teeth in child patients ,Bad oral habits of child patients,Oral health in pregnancy ,Dental erosion and abbrasion ,Traumatic injuries of the children,Traumatic injuries of the children,Genetic syndroms ,Genetic syndroms ,Dental and oral health of the disabled children,Dental and oral health of the chronic health problemed children,Oral findings of the childhood diseases ,Oral pathology and oral surgery of the children,Midterm Exam.

3. The students will be able to do teeth extractions by giving the correct extraction indication to deciduous and permanent teeth.10, 9A
3.1. Makes the decision of an extraction or treatmant of a decayed tooth.10, 9A
3.2. Performs the local anesthesia succesfully to an extraction indicated tooth.10, 9A
3.3. Distinguishes the oral pathological conditions of the children.10, 9A
4. The students will be able to determine the orthodontic problems caused by the bad oral habits and discuss the preventive orthodontic treatment methods.10, 9A
