Aim | The aim of this course is to realize the treatment methods of permanent teeth and to apply preventive, aesthetic and restorative treatments. |
Course Content | This course contains; Restorative Dentistry Clinical Practice course will acquire knowledge and understanding of Restorative Dentistry theory and practice. 1. Evaluation of the clinical performance of the restorations 2. Assesment of the status of previous restorations in terms of replacement or repair 3. Treatment decision making for direct and indirect restorations 4. Treatment decision making for operative and non-operative treatments 5. Caries risk assessment of the patients 6. Diagnosis of dental hard tissue pathologies with visual tactile method and radiography 7. Defining of patient's restorative treatment requirements 8. Comparision of advantages and disadvantages of different treatment options 9. Application of different adhesive systems, restorative materials and preventive measures 10. Cavity preparations with preservation of maximum sound tooth structure 11. Making differential diagnosis between developmental, carious and non-carious lesions. 12. Interpretation of clinical symptoms in terms of dentin hypersensitivity, reversible or irreversible pulpitis. 13. Making differential diagnosis between periodontal and pulpal symptoms in terms of inflamation and pain . |
