Hanife is a fifth-year undergraduate student in İstanbul Medipol University School of Pharmacy. She won a valectorian awrad for her 4th year. She currently does a research on Novel Sigma 1 Receptor Antagonists for Treatment of Neurodegenerative Diseases. She is interested in drug discovery and development of nervous system drugs for all type of neurodegenerative diseases. She is currently working in Molecular Discovery and Development Lab under the supervision with Dr. Guzel.
Holded a Bsc degree in Biology from Erciyes University in 2009 and MSc degree in Medical Microbiology from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2012. She completed Master’s thesis in bacteriology working with a specific anaerobic genus , Bifidobacterium which is crucial for gut flora and GALT. From then on she has been interested in immunology and now she is a 2nd year Phd student in Department of Immunology of Istanbul University. In Remer she is studying for Influenza A Vaccine project .
Furthermore she is interested in complementary medicine and she wants to study about immune system responds to traditional therapies.
I am studying medicine at Medipol University. I started my internship May 10th 2016, since the beginning of the internship I have learned a lot thanks to our lab, and especially I would like to thank Assist.Prof.Esra Çağavi for giving opportunities to me.Also, I am interested in cardiac regeneration, myocardial infarction, and cardiovascular surgery.
Received her BSc degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Boğaziçi University (2000). She worked at Istanbul University, Institute of Experimental Medicine ,Whole Genom Analysis Laboratory as a technician , during this time she is experienced with Next Generation Sequencing Systems. In 2012 she started her MSc in Genetics as a student of Prof Dr. Duran Ustek . She is complementing her Master’s thesis on meta analysis of mitochondrial t-RNA mutations in congenital heart defects.
She is currently first year working on System Biology Laboratory as a technician.
Yusuf Enes Kazcı was graduated from Bilkent University, Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2012. He received his Master of Science from the department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Boğaziçi University, 2015. Prof. Dr. Esra Çağavi Lab (Summer 2014), Centre for Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine at King’s College London under Dr. Tamir Rashid Lab (Summer 2015). In addition to internships, I wrote a 2209A TUBITAK student research project as a graduation project. Now, I’m a master student under supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Esra Çağavi in REMER at Medipol University.

She’s holding on her master of science degree in 2018-2020 from the Health Science Institution in the field of Neuroscience, Medipol University.
Until 2018, she’s continuing her scientific researches at Mega Medipol Hospital with patients of Neurology. Following, she’s appling on patients to Neuropschological Testing.
Handan Yaman graduated from İstanbul Medipol University Department of Audiology in 2018.
Following she started to work an audiologist at İstanbul Medipol Mega Hospital in 2018.
Then, she started to master in Cognitive Neuroscience at İstanbul Medipol University in 2019.
Handan Yaman is currently holding an audiologist position in Audiology Department of İstanbul Medipol Mega Hospital and she continues her master education.
Seda Karabulut graduated from İstanbul University Faculty of Science in 1998. She received her master degree in 2004 from the Department of Histology and Embryology, Kadir Has University and her PhD degree in 2014 from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in the field of Cellular Biology, Gebze Technical University. She started to work at the Acıbadem Hospital Center for Reproductive Medicine and Genetics, Istanbul until 2005. Then she worked as the Laboratory director of Ferticenter IVF Center between 2005-2011 and in Florence Nightingale Hospital, Center for Reproductive Medicine between 2011-2016. She started to work at the Medipol University in 2016.
Her field of interest is reproductive biology, assisted reproductive techniques and, in vitro fertilization.
Dr. Karabulut is currently holding a faculty position in Histology and Embryology Department of the School of Medicine.
Ebru Yıldırım graduated from Istanbul Medipol University, School of Health Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2016. She completed her MSc degree from Istanbul Medipol University, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2017. She has been performing to PhD education at Istanbul Medipol University, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Department of Neuroscience since 2017. She started to work at Istanbul Medipol University in 2017. She has been studying on the analysis of the EEG-brain oscillations in healthy subjects and the patients with the neurodegenerative disease. Her research areas are cognitive neuroscience, EEG, EEG-brain oscillations, EEG-signal analysis, neurodegenerative diseases, cognition, and emotions. She worked as a scholarship in the projects supported by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA) and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). She is currently holding as a teaching assistant position at Istanbul Medipol University.
Seda Avcı graduated from Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Occupational Therapy in 2019. In 2019 she started her master's degree in Neuroscience at Istanbul Medipol University. She still continues her master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience.
Tuba Aktürk, MSc
Tuba Aktürk graduated from Istanbul Kultur University, Department of psychology in 2015. After the bachelor, she worked in The University of Bremen, Institute of Psychology and Cognition Research as an intern (10.2015-01.2016). She completed her MSc degree from Istanbul University, Aziz Sancar Institute of Experimental Medicine, Department of Neuroscience in 2017. She has been performing to PhD (at the Dissertation stage) education at Istanbul Medipol University, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Department of Neuroscience since 2017. She started to work at Istanbul Medipol University in 2017 as a teaching assistant at the Program of Electroneurophysiology.
She has been studying on the analysis of the EEG-brain oscillations in healthy subjects and the patients with the neurodegenerative disease. Her research areas are cognitive neuroscience, EEG, EEG-brain oscillations, EEG-signal analysis, neurodegenerative diseases, cognition, and emotions. Meral MERAL graduated from Uskudar University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2019. She did an Internship in different fields during her university years; Biopsychology Lab in Canbeyli Group, Tissue Culture Lab in Toksoy-Oner Group, Drug discovery and Development Lab in Guzel Group and Immunology Lab in Deniz Group.
Undergraduated theses were “ Investigation of Vitamins effect on Neurogenesis cells” and “Use of Goldnanoparticles in Vaccine systems”.

Elif Beyza KOÇ graduated from Uskudar University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2019. She is currently studying for a master’s degree in Molecular Medicine and Biotechnology at Istanbul Medipol University. Current research interests are drug development, cancer and sphingolipid metabolism.
Betül Kilit graduated from İstanbul Medipol University School of Health
Sciences’s Nutrition and Dietetics department in 2019. Admission to the
master’s degree without graduated in 2018, she started her master’s degree
in biochemistry. Undergraduate thesis ‘The Effect of Multidisciplinary Study of
Physicians with Dietitians in Patients with Cancer and Patients with No
Cancer Diagnosis on Patients' Blood Findings’.
She was a student who had a special interest in oncology and had the
dreams and ideals she wanted to achieve.
She was one of 7 students who took place as a speaker in the forum with the
presentation of NUTRITION IN ONCOLOGY PATIENTS at the Future
Science Forum held in 2018. And at the same time, there was also a poster
Cancer and 8th National Healthy Life Congress held in 2019, she took part in
the congress with the presentation of CANCER AND MICROBIOTA.
At the 23rd National Cancer Congress held in April 2019, she took part in the
congress with the E-Verbal presentation on the IMPORTANCE OF
NUTRITIONAL FOLLOWING AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY STUDY and was
the only student from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.

S. Hakan Uzunlar received his B.Sc. in psychology from Istanbul Kultur University in 2017. During this period, he has started to be interested in neuroscience and finished a minor in Molecular Biology and Genetics. After that, he worked with geriatric individuals and patients as a psychologist within the scope of psychological and social support, in 2018. He has been working as a co-founder of a social entrepreneurship called "Psikoloji Ağı" since 2017. He is currently continuing his M.Sc. in neuroscience in Istanbul Medipol University and working under the supervision of Dr. Güntekin as an assistant with a scholarship. He is working on EEG and transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS) in his master's thesis research.
