AimThe main aim of this course is to examine the human behavior and development that exist within the social systems through the main social science theories. In the course of Human Behavior and Social Environment I, the life cycle from the prenatal period to the first adulthood is considered on the theoretical basis. Some of the probable problems encountered during the developmental period are investigated in relation with human behaviors and the students are trying to develop critical thinking capacity in terms of social service discipline.

2. It learns the theoretical foundations specific to the understanding of the human as a biopsychosocial being during infancy, childhood, and adolescence.10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 9A
3. It learns the effects of environment-based concepts such as societal, economic, and cultural structure, class, poverty, oppression, discrimination, and sexism on behavior and development.11, 13, 16, 19A
3.1. It understands developmental stages to establish a theoretical foundation for social work practice.
3.2. It understands the necessary information about developmental tasks, developmental needs, as well as risk and protective factors related to infancy, childhood, and adolescence.

4.1. It understands the necessity of respecting differences.
