Aim | To be able to make diagnosis and differential diagnosis of movement system diseases with acute and chronic pain, especially rheumatic diseases and to be able to guide the treatment of the patient by prescribing treatment modalities such as medical and interventional treatments, physical medicine modalities and rehabilitation according to patient needs. |
Course Content | This course contains; Degenerative Joint Diseases,FTR Introduction and History, Objectives, Team Members and Their Duties, Areas Covered and Involved,Rheumatic Diseases: Introduction and Classification,Soft Tissue Diseases (Fibromyalgia And Tenosynovitis),Waist, Neck And Back Pain,Introduction to Orthopedic Rehabilitation. |

At the end of this course students will be able to; | ||
1. Anamnesis in musculoskeletal diseases, patient evaluation, locomotor system examination and apply basic diagnostic specific tests. | ||
2. Evaluate the skeletal system radiographs and frequently requested laboratory tests. | ||
3. Develop a differential diagnosis approach in musculoskeletal diseases, evaluate the necessity of treatment and plan non-drug treatment. | ||
4. In diseases of the musculoskeletal system, the patient can make necessary recommendations by evaluating with his / her environment before becoming ill. | ||
5. Plans, implements and monitors rational drug therapy and adheres to the principles of drug use in special cases (such as old age, pregnancy). | ||
6. Explains the basic effects, applications, side effects, indications and contraindications of physical therapy applications. | ||
7. Distinguish between inflammatory and degenerative (mechanical) pain. | ||
8. Can classify rheumatic diseases. | ||
9. Explains the causes, clinic and treatment of common waist, neck and shoulder pains in the community. | ||
10. Summarize the basic information, diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases. | ||
11. Evaluates the frequency, clinic, diagnosis and treatment of degenerative diseases. | ||
12. Knows soft tissue rheumatisms, summarizes treatment and follow-up. | ||
13. Explains the epidemiology, causes, clinic and treatment of osteoporosis. | ||
14. List the principles of approach to painful patient. | ||
15. Summarize the definition, scope and place of medical rehabilitation in health services. | ||
16. Describe the problems and complications specific to people with disabilities and disabilities related to neurological or movement system disease and summarize the basic attempts to solve these problems in primary care. | ||
17. Shows the prescription for common diseases in the community in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation. |
