Aim

Train lawyers who detect and evaluate problems in the field of health law, make proposals to the resolution of dispute, have scientific research skills and expertise in specific areas and generate original ideas.

Registration and Admission Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree Diploma, Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES) Result, Certificate of English Proficiency

Graduation Requirements

Students who have succesfully complete all of the courses and take minumum 240 ECTS with a seminar, qualifying exam, dissertation proposal, PhD dissertation have a right to receive a diploma.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students are accepted by lateral transfer according to the articles of Istanbul Medipol University Graduate Education and Training Regulations regarding the admission of students by lateral transfer.

Program Qualification

PY1) In light of the current developments in the field of health law, develop and deepen the knowledge about the main sources, legislation and jurisprudence which related to the health law.
PY2) With understanding relationships among concept, institution and method that related to disciplines of health law, come up with original solutions by using knowledge requiring proficiency on analysis, synthesis and assessment of new and complex ideas

The PhD program in Health Law is aimed at active researchers, managers and experts who want to pursue a qualified and academic career in this field, as well as lawyers who want to become experts in the field of health law and other professionals who want to receive a specialized education in this field. Students graduating from this well-equipped program, which is the first PhD program in the field of health law in Turkey, can apply for or continue academic career positions, become trainers, use their expertise to apply for managerial positions in the field of health and law, and make career choices in these fields.

Success in a course is determined by the course success grade. The course success grade is obtained by evaluating the student's success in midterm exams and assignments, practical studies, group studies and similar studies that replace midterm exams and the general exam together.
