Aim

Cell imaging technologies are some of the highly sought-after tools of today. Thus, our goal, as the Istanbul Medipol University Department of Histology and Embryology, is to train histologists who is proficient at imaging technologies; can develop novel medical histo-technological procedures; can apply these technologies to scientific research.

Graduation Requirements

Students who have succesfully complete all of the courses,a seminar and a thesis who have taken the 90 to 120 ECTS have a right to receive a diploma.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Credits of graduate courses in which the student has successfully completed a domestic / foreign higher education institution; The proposal of the advisor is approved, the proposal of the head of the department concerned and the approval of the Graduate School Administrative Board.

Employment Opportunities

Successful completion of the program can be undertaken in various research laboratories, may be assigned to research assistants or faculty members at universities provided that they are successful in Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Examination (ALES) and foreign language exams, and may continue to the PhD.

Assessment and Evaluation

Assessment and evaluation are made in the form of a written exam, an oral exam, and an article or a topic. The valid grade in the master's program is a minimum of 65. The success rate of the midterm exam is 50% out of a total of 100 points, and the success rate of the general exam is 50%.
